1) Find a bright room and a full length mirror.

2) Remember ABCDE

A – Asymmetry (if halves aren’t matching)

B – Borders that appear uneven

C – Color that isn’t uniform

D – Diameter that is larger than a pencil eraser (about 4 millimeters)

E – Evolution of mole growth

3) Check unlikely places – hand palms, behind knees, elebows, fingers and toes too!

4) Use a hand mirror to check the back of your neck and scalp.
